Pittsburg is an industrial city located in eastern Contra Costa County in California. At the 2010 U.S Census it was reported a population of 63,264 spreading on a total of 19.154 square mile (49.610 km2) out of which 1.936 square miles (5.015km2) represent water. The Pittsburg City Council runs under a council-manager form of government. All legislative decisions are taken by a five-member Council formed by the Mayor and for other members. The City Council Members are elected on a four-year term in November, only the Mayor serves a 1 year term and it is elected among the Council Members.
