AED’s Save Lives

Sudden Cardiac Arrest outcomes are significantly improved with immediate or early use of an AED.

Why a HOme AED?

70–80% of cardiac arrests happen at home.

A home AED doesn’t get used often—but when it is needed, it’s one of the few tools that can immediately reverse death in progress.

In sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), the heart stops pumping effectively. Survival drops about 7–10% for every minute without defibrillation.

AED’s are Safe

You can not shock someone who isn’t in cardiac arrest – AED’s are safe to use on children, and do not pose a safety risk.

Huge Survival Boost

Early defibrillation can increase survival rates to ~50–70% or higher when delivered within the first few minutes of cardiac arrest.

Protect the Brain

In sudden cardiac arrest, the heart stops pumping, oxygen delivery to the brain drops to near zero and brain cells begin dying.

Below Market Rate AEDs

Why do we sell AEDs at such reduced rates?

CPR Education is a Bay Area based safety training company. We do sell some AEDs at normal market rates, but we have a personal mission of making our local area and our neighbors living here as safe as possible.

If you’re on this page, you got here through a special event or private offer as this page is not publicly listed. For us, this is a special community service we like to offer.

Pricing

The AED industry has strict guidelines around pricing and we delight in selling AEDs below advertisable rates. Also, credit cards fees are high, so we take orders individually, and only take payments by checks, Zelle or even in person by cash.

CPR & AED Training

AEDs are truly change-makers, and using one fast enough may mean the patient may never need CPR. Nonetheless, training enhances comfort and competence in real-life emergencies. We are happy to provide training as needed.

So what is the cost?

New AED’s typically start at $1,500, though we sell them starting at $1,100 and this is great for businesses, but for home, we recommend recertified options, which start around $500.

How long do AEDs last?

The AED unit itself will typically last 8-12 years if not longer. Batteries typically last about 3-5 years, and pads about 2-5 years, all depending on the AED.

What’s the best AED?

★★★★★

Quite frankly, the best AED is the one closest to you when you need it. There are a number of AEDs on the market, but any of them will do the job. The important thing is having it in the first place.

Pablo PIcaso famously said:

“Action is the foundational key to all success,”

Even if an AED is too expensive, learn CPR and become familiar with where AEDs are in your neighborhood.

Don’t wait until it’s too late.
