• If you have been trained in CPR but are unsure of your competency, perform chest compressions at 100 to 120 per minute. Please note that this advice only applies to adults, kids, and babies at least four weeks old. Newborns require a different procedure.
• To learn CPR effectively, take a certified CPR training course that teaches how to operate an automated external defibrillator (AED). If you are untrained but need immediate assistance, call 911, and they will provide instructions on CPR.
